High Level Opportunity managing a nuclear Operations Center, $180-220K (negotiable) plus benefits and relocation.
Our client is one of the global leaders in SMR (small modular reactor) nuclear technology. As they expand their footprint in Houston, TX and continue to build their Operation Center there, they are looking to add an experienced Operations Center Manager to coordinate multiple teams provide the day-to-day leadership and orchestration of the Operations Center, operating across organizational boundaries, and managing high-value and high-consequence work.
The person hired into this role will be directly responsible for owning the governance, technology/data integration, cross-functional issues management, stakeholder communications, and continuous improvement. They will ensure timely visibility to schedule, cost, risk, quality, and resource availability for the portfolio of deployment projects. Additionally, this role is responsible for driving the escalation and resolution of issues, driving timely decision making, and serving as the central point of contact for issues that require help from deployment projects.
Compensation is $180-220K, negotiable. Relocation provided if not local to Houston, TX.

Requirements:
- 20+ years overall experience with at least 10 years managing high-stake operations across organizational boundaries
- Experience in a heavily regulated, high-stakes environments such as:
- large energy companies
- utilities
- oil & gas
- Navy / military operations
- grid or system operations
- Demonstrated ability able to effectively work and communicate at multiple levels of large, established organizations
- Strong interest in and excitement about the next generation of nuclear technology and deployment of SMRs
- Local to Houston, TX or willingness to relocate
Responsibilities:
- Establish and evolve a high-performing Operations Center that anticipates and resolves execution issues across engineering, supply chain, quality, services, and project delivery.
- Maintain standardized, real-time dashboards and reporting that support leadership decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
- Maintain and drive the top 10 issues list and project actions; remove roadblocks and secure cross-functional support.
- Lead the defined meeting cadence (daily stand-ups, weekly reviews, and monthly rollups) with discipline and clarity.
- Take a lead role in ensuring organizational readiness for product deployment.
- Embed Leadership and Team Effectiveness Attributes and Traits of a Healthy Nuclear Safety Culture, into meetings and decisions; foster open communication, trust, and no-blame early issue identification.
