The
Manager Strategic and Commercial Planning leads a high‑impact team across Global Sales and Distribution, responsible for shaping and delivering strategies that drive commercial outcomes. The role owns a broad portfolio spanning strategy development and implementation and partners closely with senior stakeholders across Global Sales and Distribution and the wider Qantas Group. This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into action, delivering initiatives that generate cost savings, improve products and processes and drive incremental revenue growth.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for a commercially minded manager who thrives in complexity and enjoys delivering practical, measurable results.
You’ll have –
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales, strategy or commercial role
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Economics, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of core Qantas Group revenue and cost drivers
- Proven experience designing and implementing successful commercial strategies using strategic design thinking
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, matrixed environment with competing stakeholder priorities
- Exceptional senior‑level stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across internal and external groups
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage all levels of leadership
- People leadership capability, with experience leading, motivating and coaching high‑performing teams
