The Team
Our Engineering and Maintenance team is at the heart of delivering safe, reliable operations across our network. Known for innovation and industry-leading technical performance, this team plays a critical role in ensuring our aircraft are always ready to fly. You’ll work across a broad range of specialisms, collaborating with teams across the airline to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.
The Role
As Deputy Base Maintenance Manager in Berlin, you’ll be a key member of the local leadership team, supporting the Base Manager to lead a high-performing operation. This is a non-productive leadership role with full operational oversight of in-house Part 145 activity, ensuring safety and operational excellence at all times.
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day performance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement, while deputising for the Base Manager when required.
> Support the leadership and oversight of line and base maintenance activities
> Lead and develop engineering, stores, and office teams to drive performance
> Build strong relationships across Engineering and Maintenance and wider business functions
> Collaborate with CAMO, Part 21, and Integrated Control Centre teams to maximise aircraft availability
> Ensure full compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and Health and Safety standards
> Drive a culture of safety, engagement, and recognition across the station
> Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency
> Oversee resource planning to ensure timely defect resolution
> Ensure all maintenance documentation and certification is completed accurately and on time
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident and capable leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering results in a complex operational environment.
> Proven experience leading or supporting high-performing teams
> Strong background in aircraft maintenance with commercial awareness
> Experience managing or supporting budgets with the ability to challenge costs
> Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
> Ability to prioritise effectively and manage time in a fast-paced environment
> Appropriate Part-66 Category B or C licence, or an aeronautical degree or equivalent experience
> Formal aeronautical maintenance training
> Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
> Understanding of the easyJet fleet or similar aircraft types
> Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
> High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and AMOS

Practicalities
This full-time role will be based in Berlin and will be 40 hours per week. The role may require occasional travel between any of the other part 145 bases in the easyJet network.
