Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Conference & Events Specialist to join our Events team in partnership with our Corporate and Social Responsibility department. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for seamlessly blending the execution of successful events with our commitment to corporate social responsibility from concept to completion. You will manage several projects simultaneously with an attention to detail to deliver and create engaging experiences.

Work Model
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA , offering a hybrid work model that combines 3+ regular onsite workdays with balance of days remote, or as business needs allow. This position has an on-site presence that may fall outside of normal working hours on occasion due to events or activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work collaboratively as well as independently to develop, produce, and execute a variety of corporate events, logistics, planning, and administrative needs. These will include workshops, conferences, community outreach events, and employee functions.
- Manage variety of events formats (in person, virtual, and hybrid) coordinating logistics of event setup, livestream production, event technical management, and physical venue arrangements.
- Create, plan, and execute detailed project plans including event timeline schedules, venue selection and contracts, media support, travel logistics, food & beverage logistics, attendee management, and post survey engagement results.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, sponsors, volunteers, community, and industry partners to enhance overall event attendance and sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with various internal and external teams to maximize event visibility and engagement within the community.
- Identify opportunities for community engagement, philanthropy, and sustainable practices to positively impact the community.
- Lead volunteer programs; foster a culture of giving back by promoting employee volunteerism and engagement in community-based activities as well as K-12 STEM outreach events.
What You Need To Be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist III:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to Five years of relevant events management experience
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external organizations
- Ability to pack, lift, and transfer event materials and other items.
- Willingness and ability to travel on occasion
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Conference & Events Specialist IV include:
- Six or more years of relevant events management experience
How You Can Stand Out

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of online and virtual meeting technologies and platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, and similar platforms)
- Experience using current best practices and emerging trends in event production including hosting virtual and hybrid events

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
