Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Lead Program Manager that directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. These programs involve engagements with multiple companies, primarily with Lockheed Martin and other subcontractors. Previous experience leading development, production, repair, and/or sustainment programs is required. This program manager will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. Is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated Leader with experience and results in leading a development, production, repair, and/or sustainment program.
- Able to grow and capture new business
- Experience working with major subcontractors and suppliers.
- Experience working with operations, supply chain/procurement, engineering, and quality.
- Experience in managing and minimizing the impact of obsolescence and diminishing military sources (DMS).
- Demonstrated success in leading, cross-functional teams, with remote team members.
- Owns a track record of achieving efficiencies and cost savings in program execution.
- Leads negotiation of contract and understands contract change management.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Strong relationship builder and communicator; communicates effectively within and outside of L3Harris, including strategic partners in industry and Government.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation skills, with ability to work toward win-win solutions.
- Financial analytical skills and advanced experience with MS-Excel, including practical experience with MS Office products or similar.
- Gains and maintains high trust and confidence with Government customers, L3Harris leadership and program teams.
- Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem.
- Strong technical and business background to evaluate and adjust win strategies, and proactively make recommendations to leadership.
- Develops specific courses of action in program execution and/or capture planning, that yield predictable results and profitable return on investment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain USG Secret clearance but not required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior program management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior program management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior program management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience leading development, production, repairs, and/or sustainment programs.
- Experience accelerating delivery dates and/or repair turnaround times.
- Experience with earned value program management and risk management is preferred.
- Background in Engineering, Finance, or Program Management is preferred.
- Current or in-scope Secret security clearance is preferred.
- Graduate Degree is preferred.
- Good communicator, comfortable with presenting to all levels of management
