Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Lead Auditor to join our Production Control team based in Columbus, MS.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing annual audit plans, audit checklists, coordinate and perform internal audits and report the results of internal audits. You will also coordinate with external agencies for scheduling and adherence to external audit requirements. In addition you will facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous improvement plans through analysis of the internal audit program.

Your Challenges:
Lead site specific internal audits based on regulatory, contractual and company requirements
Develop and implement plan
Generate audit checklist to be used when performing audits
Create training plan for the qualification of audit team members
Conduct audits to identify gaps in internal processes
Schedule and lead internal audit workshops to ensure compliance with the audit plan
Facilitate communication and reporting of audit results to applicable personnel
Ensure corrective action requests are generated based on internal/external audit findings
Train audit team on quality management systems procedures, processes and work instructions
Assists in the development and maintenance of AS9100 certification
Quality Department Support/Continuous Improvement: 20%

Support Company events, departmental meetings, special projects and team meetings
Root Cause and Corrective Action Coordination: 10%
External Audit Support: 10%
Perform review of key processes and previous audit findings to maintain regulatory compliance and external audit readiness
Focal point for communication and coordination with FAA, DCMA, AS9100, EASA and customer representatives during audit preparation, audit execution and maintenance of the quality management system
Complete external audit questionnaires
Coordinate site and network access for external audit team members
Scheduling of applicable personnel and conference rooms necessary for external audit team members
Assign escorts to accompany and assist external audit team members
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation or Engineering related field or equivalent experience. In lieu of degree, 8 years proven experience would be accepted
Minimum of 4 years of related experience in quality inspection, engineering or auditing quality management systems
Internal/External Auditor Certification

Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt Certification
Knowledge of EASA rules and regulations
Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings daily.

- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily.

- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice 15% on an annual basis.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces daily.
- PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
