Johnson Service Group has an immediate opportunity for an entry level Purchasing Coordinator for a recent college grad with a global medical device client in Auburn, MA
Contract | 100% Onsite | $26 - $28/Hr. depending on qualifications.
Summary: This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing and supplier management while learning from experienced professionals. The Purchasing Coordinator supports day-to-day purchasing activities across multiple sites helping ensure materials, components, and services are ordered accurately, delivered on time, and meet the company’s quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with processing purchase requisitions and converting them to purchase orders in SAP.

Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment orders for assigned materials and components.

Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts Payable, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering) to resolve order or invoice discrepancies.

Maintain accurate vendor information and purchasing data in SAP (training provided).

Support supplier onboarding and documentation in compliance with ISO 13485 and company quality standards.

Generate reports to track purchasing activity, delivery performance, and cost trends.

Participate in sourcing and supplier evaluation efforts.

Contribute to cost-saving and process improvement projects within the supply chain function.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong interest in purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management within the medical device or life sciences industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with SAP or Tableau is a plus.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
