Description
Job Purpose
- Responsible for ensuring the serviceability of all equipment and systems under the department.
- Accountable for implementing improvement proposals to enhance infrastructure for better and more efficient performance, and to reduce maintenance cost.
- Responsible for executing all preventive, corrective, and improvement works, ensuring they are carried out timely and safely without hindering airport operations.
- Accountable for effective and proper use of resources and manpower, with cost saving as the primary criterion.
Operational
- Supervise and monitor operations and maintenance activities carried out by maintenance contractors as per ORACLE schedules, ensuring all activities are performed in a timely manner.
- Deliver quality assurance audits by inspecting electrical assets as per facilities asset management system and preparing required reports.
- Lead, assign, and supervise a team of electrical supervisors (both in‑house and contractors) performing daily activities such as preventive maintenance, audits, and improvement works.
- Raise ORACLE requisitions for spares and services as required within approved budget.
- Support development of technical scope of work and specifications for in‑house electrical engineering projects in coordination with the Electrical Engineer or Line Manager.
- Inspect completed works by external vendors to ensure specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
- Prepare and review electrical work methods in coordination with contractors and the Permit To Work (PTW) team to ensure safe and efficient execution as per standards.
- Review spare part usage and ensure required quantities are available with contractors to maintain uninterrupted services.
- Keep updated technical information of electrical assets and monitor asset performance regularly using Asset Management System.
- Perform other department duties as directed by Head of Department.
Qualification
Qualifications & Experience
Without a Degree
High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma with minimum
4 years of job‑related experience.
With a Degree
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum
3 years of job‑related experience.
- Minimum 1 year hands‑on technical experience in maintenance, installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of electrical engineering systems.
- To have experience in substations
- Supervise and Monitor the operations and maintenance activities carrying by the maintenance contractors as per ORACLE schedules to ensure that all activities performed in a timely manner.
- Delivering the quality assurance audits by carrying out inspections on electrical and fire life safety assets as per the facilities asset management system and prepare the necessary reports.
- To prepare and review electrical work methods in coordination with maintenance contractors and Permits To Work team (PTW) , to ensure safe and efficient work execution as per the standards.
- Experience in airport, large commercial facilities, or five‑star hotel environments in preferred.
