Position Summary
As Projects Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for order-to-cash inquiries on capital project orders, ensuring clear alignment between the Division, sales companies, and customers on order requirements and expectations. You’ll take ownership of order progression from intake through delivery, maintaining accuracy against customer specifications and quoted lead times to support on-time, successful execution.
Working closely with internal teams, you will proactively identify and resolve issues related to supply chain, shipping, documentation, and third-party inspections, ensuring risks are managed early and effectively. You will also provide regular, structured updates to internal and external stakeholders on order status, milestones, and invoicing to maintain transparency and drive a smooth customer experience.
Your responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain awareness of upcoming project opportunities and anticipated order placements.
- Partner with Parker Sales Company customer service teams ahead of order placement to help ensure a smooth, well-prepared process.
- Collaborate with the project quoting team to review quotes before release, checking alignment to submitted specifications and following up to clarify any gaps.
- Ensure clear written confirmation of order scope and acceptance criteria as part of the acknowledgement process.
- Help ensure key pre-order requirements (e.g., ITP and drawing approvals) are understood and agreed before orders are accepted.
- Verify that purchase orders received from sales companies align with the agreed quotation.
Who we are looking for
- Project management experience.
- Engineering experience, preferably gained in the oil, gas or clean technologies industries.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Confident negotiator, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Highly organised and persistent, able to manage multiple projects and maintain momentum through to shipment.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, comfortable challenging existing ways of working to improve outcomes.
- Logical, structured thinker who can simplify issues and make sound decisions.
- Calm under pressure, consistently professional and courteous with colleagues and customers.
Ideally, you will also have
- Experience with JDE and or SAP beneficial
- Knowledge of shipping & logistics beneficial
