Joint Test Group Deputy Chair (Permanent) Victoria, BC (Band 4.2) Expected Salary: $86,879 to $106,185 To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Provide team management and leadership to enable both the care and growth of their team members and timely delivery of engineering artefacts, with limited guidance, to ensure the allocated sub-set of engineering activities are successfully achieved through the application of engineering processes, resources and tools

The ideal candidate brings: • Graduated from a recognized institution with post-secondary education or completed an apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience. • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) with the applicable provincial association • 10+ years of relevant technical experience including: Extensive experience (5+ years) in a high-integrity engineering environment. Proven leadership skills and experience (5+ years) managing technical teams is highly desirable. Significant experience (5+ years) in submarine engineering, sustainment, or construction is highly desirable. Significant experience (5+ years) reviewing complex technical documents. Experience (5+ years) with technical requirements verification and validation. Experience (3+ years) in reactivation of ship or submarine following refit/significant work periods. • Submarine-specific operational experience or equivalent qualifications in a senior capacity an asset. • Systems Engineering experience and certification is considered an asset. • Working knowledge of ITAR and security protocols. • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance Babcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
