- Lead and execute Cabin Crew Line Training & Checking operations across our Short Haul Fleets

The
Deputy Manager, In‑Flight Training & Checking Short Haul supports the Manager, In‑Flight Training & Checking by leading the day‑to‑day delivery and coordination of the Cabin Crew Line Training and Checking program. Operating under the Manager’s strategic direction and delegated authority, the role ensures effective operational execution across fleets and bases.
This position supports the delivery of line training and checking activities, with a strong focus on developing, standardising and calibrating Cabin Crew Line Trainers and Line Checkers. The role drives quality assurance and continuous improvement to ensure training and checking outcomes are consistent, competency‑based, compliant with regulatory requirements, and audit‑ready.
As a senior subject matter expert, the
Deputy Manager provides coaching, professional guidance and operational leadership to trainers and checkers, supporting high standards of capability and performance across the system.
The
Deputy Manager plays a key operational leadership role, supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of Cabin Crew Line Training & Checking. The Manager, In-Flight Training & Checking retains end‑to‑end system ownership, including regulatory representation, audit accountability and final decision‑making authority. Strategic, regulatory, systemic and high‑risk matters are escalated to the Manager, with the Deputy Manager actively supporting resolution through strong operational leadership
You Will Have
- Extensive experience in operational Cabin Crew roles.
- Significant experience as a Cabin Crew Line Trainer and/or Line Checker desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and capability development in operational or training environments.
- Relevant aviation, training or education qualifications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent) desirable.
- Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment principles.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, operating manuals and SOPs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to manage performance conversations constructively.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving capability.
