Basic Qualifications
- Applicant must be a certificated FAA Airframe and Powerplant technician or obtain within 6 months of hire an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license and have 5+ years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Must be able to research and understand technical data such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Blueprints, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
- Candidate must be able to possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Candidate will be required to report to Sikorsky Innovations Operations Hangar in Stratford, CT to execute assigned tasks. Field work may be required to support business needs.
- Experience maintaining S92/S76/S70/H60/53K,E/GB1 Gamebird/R-66 aircraft desired.
- Extensive CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.

THE WORK
Field Maintenance Lead/QA troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems, and performs major structural modifications.
Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals. Required to maintain FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms. May fuel and groom the aircraft and provide Crew Chief support as required. Oversees all inspections and maintenance on aircraft to ensure adherence to FAA and manufacturers requirements and guidelines. Receives and may be required to provide technical guidance as provided from Engineering with complex aircraft relevant tasks.
Use of hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Support includes disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective parts on or off aircraft. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces structures/ systems and aircraft components, systems, or accessories. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation or manufacturers' manuals. Requires leading workload responsibility for the maintenance team to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Perform other duties as requested to support overall Program requirements or customer Aviation maintenance support.

Desired Skills
5+ years’ experience maintaining S92/S-76C/H-60/GB1/R-66 aircraft.
3+ years aircraft structural modification/repair.
Familiar with FAA 14 CFR Part 145 repair station regulations.
