Test Analyst

What you will do:

As test analyst, we need you to focus on our customers to give them a secure, reliable, system. You will be working with a diverse team of like-minded people trained in various other technologies. We work together to deliver valuable software changes efficiently. We use automation to improve our productivity, without sacrificing quality. We use continuous improvement feedback loops to streamline how we develop software.

Key responsibilities:

• Create high level test scenarios for new features based on understanding of requirements and discussions with the wider team.
• Break down the test scenarios into low level test cases.
• Automate test cases where that is practical or execute them manually if it is not.
• You will manage your own time, as part of a self-organizing scrum team.
• Follow our testing guidelines, best practices, and all technical processes.
• Help the team estimate the complexity of technical work.

EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer sciences or engineering is essential.
• At least 4 years of experience into Automation testing is essential.
• Experience of Java, and object-oriented programming.
• Solid knowledge of the defect life cycle: why, what, and when we should test.
• Solid knowledge of how to write and design object-oriented code. If you have used design patterns that would be advantageous.
• Must be able to understand a specification and use that knowledge determine tests positive, negative and edge cases.
• Experience of Cucumber/TestNG and Selenium would be advantageous.
• Experience using a test management tool, HP Quality Center would be advantageous.
• Experience testing, APIs, and web interfaces; experience of security considerations would be advantageous.
• Experience of using relational databases from Java: Maria DB or MySQL databases are preferable.
• Knowledge of version control / source code management (GIT preferred) would be advantageous.
• Ability to work well as a member of a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural environment.
