The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Senior Procurement Manager.
He/she is responsible for the purchasing of materials and services for ST Engineering businesses.
Duties and responsibilities,
- Co-lead procurement team and provide guidance to the team in operational procurement activities.
- Identify, explore, and implement innovative procurement strategies aligned with best practices.
- Identify reliable sources of supply for materials and services.
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities: sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contracting and purchase order management in accordance with Procurement Governance & Regulations.
- Carry out price analysis and conduct purchase/contract negotiation with vendors/suppliers to ensure materials/services are acquired at most competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships; perform supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance management.
- Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders on materials/services received and closing of PO.
- Provide regular feedback on materials/services status to stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications,
- Minimum six years’ experience in similar position, preferably within project, M&E, construction or engineering industries.
- Possess a recognized Degree or Diploma, preferably in engineering, supported by relevant experience.
- SAP S4 Hana working experience is a plus but not a must.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities to make sound and timely decisions in complex situations.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
