About the role
Join a purpose-driven programme supporting complex defence systems where accuracy, structure and technical discipline matter. As a Data and Configuration Management Officer, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of engineering data and configuration baselines across the entire product lifecycle. Working within a collaborative technical team, you’ll ensure systems, documentation and processes are robust, controlled and aligned to recognised standards.

You’ll engage with stakeholders, contribute to audits and analysis, and drive continuous improvement in CM/DM practices. About you
You are detail-driven, technically capable and confident working within structured engineering environments. You understand configuration and data management principles and enjoy applying them to maintain accuracy and control. You bring experience with CM/DM toolsets and take pride in high-quality documentation and systems integrity. You communicate effectively with stakeholders and proactively identify improvements. You are comfortable working within compliance frameworks and bring a continuous improvement mindset, supporting both team success and broader organisational capability
Key Required Skills
- Configuration and Data Management expertise
- PLM / Teamcenter / ProjectWise system usage
- Technical documentation control and version management
- Process improvement and optimisation
- Audit, verification and compliance processes
- Technical data analysis and problem-solving
- Stakeholder communication and reporting
Key Required Qualifications
- Hold a technical vocational qualification/certificate in related discipline
- Recognised training in CM and DM specialism, such as EIA-649
- Eligible for membership of a relevant technical body, and a desire for Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- ~2 years’ experience in engineering/technical environment
- Eligibility for NZ Security Clearance (CV or above)
