What will you do in the role?
The
Tooling Stock Controller – Team Leader position is fundamental in ensuring the Tooling operation is supported effectively to achieve its mission statement of
‘Right Tool, Right Place, Right Time’.
Reporting to the
Senior Tooling Supervisor – Engineering, The Tooling Stock Controller – Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing the Tooling Stock Control element of the department; ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and that requirements are actioned appropriate to the level of priority. The Tooling Stock Controller - Team leader will be responsible for allocating workloads, ensuring targets are achieved and that all Tooling Stock Controller Colleagues conform to published Engineering Procedures.
Main Responsibilities Of The Role, But Not Limited To
- To promote Jet2.com through relationship building whenever possible and to provide our customers, both internal and external, with exceptional service.
- To liaise with the Engineering Tooling leadership team, keeping them informed of relevant developments within the Tooling function.
- To instil in all Tooling Stock Controllers a sense of pride in quality and high standards, and promotion of Jet2.com through relationship building whenever possible.
- To effectively utilise the team so as to promptly and efficiently action requirements appropriate to the level of priority.
- To take responsibility for the team, giving direction to ensure the effective allocation of tasks in order to complete workloads.
- To take responsibility for any health and safety, welfare, training and HR matters regarding the team and report any HR related matters back to the Senior Tool Stores Supervisor.
- To review Tooling analysis in a digitised format
- Support Loan tooling in and out of the business
- To continuously improve practices, where feasible and acceptable.
- To comply and uphold the requirements and legislation of all health and safety at work regulations and relevant aviation regulations.
- Supporting the Tooling leadership team for Projects, analysis, management of change
- Invoice checking, monitoring and ensuring they are commensurate of any supply agreements in place.
Ensure the Team:
- Attend maintenance Pre input meetings, C -Check meetings
- Attend Work In Progress (W.I.P) meetings with repair vendors
- Forecasting and Progress chasing of tooling repairs orders
- Carry out Analysis of all aspects in tooling as necessary for phasing of shelf life, under/over utilisation of Tooling, shelf expiry, inventory control
- Reviews of tooling on Airbusworld and my Boeing fleet, TEM / TCBs, OIT’s, OEM requirements
- Responsible for the progressing, tracking of and distribution of tooling to and from our engineering outstations to meet the needs of the business, in line with stock level requirements, time expiry & calibration requirements
- Ensure Schedule1 and relevant Master base Lists are utilised and updated as necessary.
- To assist in reducing the overall turnaround time in the repair cycle as required to support the organization through regular supplier meetings & internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensuring that all transactions / order updates regarding the above are correctly recorded on the company AMOS computer system.
- To monitor total stock holding and identify potential shortages due to scrap or increased business activity.
- Ensuring that all tooling issued to support down route AOG’s are returned as soon as possible from maintenance activities or Base Maintenance Organizations after maintenance and recorded on AMOS.
- Liaise with all sections within Jet2.com Engineering & MROs in support of the maintenance
- Weekly review of ‘Open Orders’ and ‘Materials Development’ reports.
- Progress repair quotes throughout the Tooling Department to ensure internal approvals and feedback to suppliers.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a Stock Controller or Repairs Management role. You will have strong IT skills to include MS Office, notable due diligence and excellent communication skills.
Due to its operational nature, this role does not offer Hybrid working. The position will work office hours,
Monday to Friday.
