THE TEAM
Our Scheduling team sits at the heart of our operation, responsible for the design and delivery of easyJet’s flying schedule. Working within this central planning function, we partner closely with teams across the business to create a programme that delivers for our customers, crews and commercial performance.
THE ROLE
As a Schedule Research & Development Analyst, you’ll play a key role in optimising the performance, resilience and efficiency of our flying schedule. Using a variety of analytical and optimisation techniques, you’ll develop insights and scenarios that drive both revenue growth and cost efficiency.
You’ll work with large data sets and sophisticated tools to model improvements across the network, helping us make better decisions about how we operate our schedule and maximise value from our slot portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include
> Building and optimising schedule scenarios to improve operational resilience, commercial returns, crew efficiency and asset utilisation.
> Applying optimisation techniques to balance operational constraints with commercial priorities.
> Developing and monitoring KPIs to assess and enhance schedule performance.
> Analysing internal and external data to evaluate revenue and cost outcomes.
> Forecasting operational performance to support more resilient and optimised scheduling decisions.
> Creating and evolving dashboards and analytical tools to support decision making across the Scheduling function.
> Leading innovation projects focused on schedule optimisation and continuous improvement.
> Supporting and influencing stakeholders through data led insights and clear recommendations.
> Producing high quality analysis, reports and presentations.
> Providing analytical guidance to colleagues across Schedule R&D and Design teams.
What We’re Looking For
> Highly numerate with strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
> Proven experience in optimisation, modelling or scenario analysis.
> Ability to obtain meaningful insights from complex data sets.
> Experience managing and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
> Strong communication and organisational skills.
> Proactive, innovative mindset with critical thinking ability.
> Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
> Knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
> Adaptability and resilience in a fast changing environment.
> Experience with SQL or other data mining tools.
> Knowledge of airline scheduling systems such as Amadeus SkySuite or Sabre Air Vision.
> Project management experience.

PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
