Senior Executive, Technical Vendor Management (Logistics Controls)

Role Purpose
Responsible for developing and monitoring MH's logistics budget. based on overall logistics plan / needs which is developed in consultation with Asset Mgmt., Engine Planning & other stakeholders (Air Freight/ Road Freight/ Sea Freight/ WH/ Forwarding/ Customs etc).
Key Accountability
- Supervise plan execution/ necessary controls in coordination with SCM and Group Procurement (GP). Focus activities will include developing sourcing plan, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, spot buying, performance tracking etc.
- Support in business partnering with stakeholders in SCM (Manager) and/or GP (Sr Manager/Manager) in TCO (total cost of ownership) improvement in logistics spend for MH.
- Leverage subject matter knowledge to manage critical areas such as techno commercial evaluation / supplier SLA development etc. in strategic sourcing process, to enable a more holistic evaluation of supplier proposals, with stakeholders in SCM and/or GP.
- Support negotiation strategy development/ conduct negotiations with Supplier Account Managers/ senior supplier stakeholders to drive cost efficiency for MAG.
- Co-lead with SCM Logistics Procurement and GP to proactively develop and implement annual sourcing programs/ cost improvement targets through structured sourcing process (category strategy, planning, RFx, negotiations, supplier selection) that leads to successful commercialization of partnerships.
- Monitoring & tracking of spot buying of logistics solutions to provide oversight / challenge on all spot buys above threshold.
- Responsible for regular monitoring & tracking 3rd party charges & validating internal supplier (MABES) charges; proactively reviewing annual spend for logistics and tracking / managing actual spend vs. budget for MH. In case of cost escalations, proactively work with Manager, Logistics Controller / CAMO leaders to mitigate costs & manage revisions.
- Develop & maintain the necessary dashboards & system for reporting and monitoring of supplier performance / SLAs to senior leadership. Manage any supplier performance issues / emerging risks accordingly, including necessary escalations, recourse, resolutions.
- Proactively assess logistics vendor / contract issues and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to be executed alongside SCM team.
- Effectively communicate complex info with all stakeholders to facilitate clear understanding and decision-making, e.g., Critical Solutions Desk (Asset Mgmt.), SCM, Ops teams.
- Support the implementation of strategies and initiatives for continuous improvement, particularly with regards to (1) interlocks in ways of working between Asset Mgmt & SCM teams, (2) pertaining to any risks / issues with logistics vendor / contracts; to ensure efficient material movement and minimize business and supply chain operational risks.
Qualifications & Working Experience
Degree in Aviation Relevant Industry with 2-4 years+ track record in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
