How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Senior Planner, Engine Maintenance is responsible for assuring that production schedules are met for Engine Maintenance production needs. This includes engines, landing gear, APU's and needed hangar and line replacement units.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Daily, weekly and monthly parts production status reporting and implementing and maintaining shop schedules to meet all Engine Maintenance Metrics.
- The Planner works closely with the shop Product Line Manager and Leads to ensure timely production schedules are met.
- Adding/deleting as well as updating requirements in the Engine Maintenance scheduling system.
- Sets workload priorities, stages work and resolves work stoppages.
- Works directly with various groups throughout TechOps such as Materials, Outside Repair, MRO Services, Engineering along with other groups/departments to procure parts by TAT deadlines.
- Direct supervision to Material Controllers and Production Control Auditors
- Planners analyze procedures, processes, shop load, capacities, and various other forms of information to improve overall parts production in the shops.
- Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment that results in employee safety and well-being.
- Follow all FAA, FAR as well as other controlled guidelines and requirements.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Engine Maintenance experience required
- Should possess good communication skills and be able to relate well with others
- Proficient in Delta's computer systems, particularly SAP, MPL, MTAC, GEM/MIRS as well as PC based software (Word, Excel, Access) is required
- Must be multi-tasked and have ability to prioritize work.
- Must be adaptable and flexible to constantly changing operational requirements which may require extended work hours.
