Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator is available in Van Nuys, CA. The Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator will act as the liaison between the maintenance operations team and the 135 MX Controllers, while ensuring timely and consistent updates. They will quote, schedule, and coordinate all operator requested aircraft Inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations while working toward meeting or improving Return to Service (RTS) expectations. They are also Responsible for providing performance feedback on individual jobs as well as performance of the maintenance team.

Your Responsibilities:
- Generates and monitors maintenance quotes/estimates for requested Inspection, maintenance, repairs, and alterations.
- Maintain shop schedule board as changes occur. This board must always be up to date and accurate.
- Responsible for maintaining aircraft scheduling/shop loading reporting tools and creating reports to be reviewed by Management.
- Maintain recordkeeping for all performance KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
- Based upon services requested services, coordinates with the parts department to pre-order required parts and service bulletin kits. Pre-arranges tooling rentals and outside services with approved vendors to ensure all requested work can be accomplished within the schedule established with the operator.
- Organizes work packages prior to start of project.
- Organizes and leads pre-induction meeting on all large (greater than 50 hours of labor) scheduled maintenance packages with Supervisor, Lead, and MX Control representative to ensure that the workscope is complete and priority items are identified.
- Attends the daily crew lead meetings and is prepared to discuss pre-arranged services, parts/kit availability and other factors that influence the aircraft maintenance schedule.
- Works with maintenance team to review progress, ensure priority tasks are accomplished on time, and communicates status with Maintenance Supervisor, Leads and Management to ensure an on-time delivery.
- Stays up to date with revisions to inspection requirements, changes in parts cost, warranty status of scheduled aircraft work, and additional discrepancies that may be generated which could affect pricing and/or aircraft “down time” and updates operator as required.
- Produces an accurate project status summary, which includes an accurate percentage of completed scheduled and un-scheduled items. Communicates this information to MX Control and re-reviews ongoing projects as needed to meet operator expectations.
- Communicates with MX Control about status, budget, and work approvals on a regular basis.
- Performs final review of work order to ensure in terms of financial accuracy and performance. Confirming that all labor and parts are accurately billed. These reviews should be done on an ongoing basis to correct them prior to RTS.
- Any excessive labor application should immediately be brought to the Supervisor or Leads attention so that they may confirm validity and make any required corrections.
- Any completed work orders that exceed the allotted labor hours should be brough to the attention of management for review.
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance preferred. Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G550, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300, Embraer experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills

The compensation range for this position is $26 to $35 per hour, depending upon experience.
