JSG is recruiting an Electrical/Instrumentation Planner for our client in Lima OH This dynamic position offers the opportunity to impact workflow efficiency, safety, and cost management within a high-stakes refinery environment. Pay $55/hour to $65/hour What You’ll Do: Manage and coordinate all work requests related to electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including scope, labor, tools, materials, and equipment. Develop accurate cost estimates, plan work scopes, and request necessary staff and resources, ensuring proper approval and compliance. Oversee the safety and quality of work plans, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies. Maintain detailed maintenance and work records, supporting operational efficiency and performance metrics. Collaborate closely with maintenance supervisors, operations, and procurement teams to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control. Contribute to a safe work environment by actively participating in safety meetings and promoting best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; associate degree in Instrumentation Technology or Electrical is a plus. 3-5 years of instrumentation field experience, including troubleshooting and repair. Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, planning, and scheduling. Strong knowledge of refinery maintenance practices and safe work procedures. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and SAP or comparable enterprise software. Ability to develop detailed scope and plans for preventive maintenance with excellent cost control skills. Journeyman Certification and NEC knowledge are assets. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with bid package preparation, evaluating suppliers, and contract development. Supervisory experience in a maintenance or technical environment. Work experience with safety-critical environments in oil refineries. Additional certifications related to electrical or instrumentation safety and practices.
