About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality function within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, product conformity, and regulatory compliance through the deployment of advanced quality planning tools, robust quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities across manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure product conformity and compliance with applicable quality management system and regulatory requirements.
- Develop the skills and competencies of Quality team members, promoting preventive and risk-based quality assurance methodologies.
- Define and drive actions to improve site quality performance by reducing internal defect and minimizing customer escape.
- Maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory approvals.
- Manage internal audit programs and support customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
- Act as the primary quality focal point for internal stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration across business functions.
- Ensure New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialization activities are managed effectively through structured quality planning processes, including APQP, PPAP, and product transfer activities.
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements within the Quality organization.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to ensure supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead a team of Quality Engineers supporting manufacturing processes, supplier quality activities, and special process qualification requirements.
- Monitor quality performance indicators and deploy corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies such as QRQC, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Electronics, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Quality Management leadership role.
- Strong experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operations within a highly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders within a matrix organization.
- Knowledge of industry quality management systems, regulatory compliance requirements, and special process accreditation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies including APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and Control Plans.
- Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, risk management and decision-making.
- Understanding of manufacturing, machining, assembly, and special process operations.
- Experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on talent development and team engagement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
