To strengthen our Supply Chain Team we are looking for a Configuration & Logistics Officer who ensures that for a given engine, the pieces are made available for assembly within the configuration and timeframe agreed with the customer.
Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. Your role:
- You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine.
- You read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine.
- You detect critical points in the completion process and look for an appropriate solution to achieve the objectives (e.g. Standard Exchanges, switches between different engines).
- You direct your internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing).
- You complete the modules and ensure that they are prepared according to the predetermined production planning.
- You support the assembly line with missing and/or defective parts.
- You analyse the interchangeability (technical and qualitative) of pieces, in accordance with the established configuration.
Your profile:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical direction, or equivalent through experience.
- You have an interest in aircraft engines and want to learn more about them.
- You are communicative and dare to ask questions.
- You work in a structured, accurate and proactive way.
- You work analytically and come up with practical solutions.
- You organize, divide and control your work independently.
- You speak French or Dutch, you also have a good knowledge of technical English.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- You work in shifts, from Monday to Friday (6 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm).
