Role Introduction

This role is responsible for providing coordination of testing services to meet project requirements across all solution centres. In addition to supporting daily functional testing activities, you will also be responsible for implementing, maintaining and enforcing processes and standards in support of the CPA Functional Testing Quality Assurance framework.

The Enterprise Testing Analyst is required to have strong skillset in Quality Assurance (QA) and established vendor management skills to ensure deliverables are of high quality and compliant to CX policies and standards.

You will also be responsible for management of the Quality Control (QC) process within projects to ensure the deliverables of all parties meeting with CX quality.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and Analysis

  • Deliver required test documentation, including plans, estimates, schedules and reports within project timelines and to the Enterprise Test team’s quality standards and processes;
  • Manage vendors in the delivery of cost effective and timely Functional testing, tuning and support;
  • Ensure vendors’ deliverables are of high quality and compliant to CX policies and standards;
  • Drive the functional testing discipline of the team, including solutions and architecture reviews, test defects root cause analysis and provide application and infrastructure recommendations to the project
  • Monitor and control testing being planned and executed on all projects ensuring that each produces test reports of progress against time and quality, defects severity, distribution and priority rating, impact assessments, trends over the project etc.;
  • Deliver testing estimates at various project phases aligning with the Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC)framework;
  • Track financials (actual spend) against the test estimates provided using standard templates, and highlight to Test Manager where potential issues may arise;
  • Devise options for achieving targets when progress is not as intended
  • Define and drive the development of the Enterprise Testing Practice in CX;
  • Plan and manage the selection and implementation of different testing tools for Functional Testing, Web Accessibility Testing, and Usability Testing;
  • Lead the specification of an appropriate Testing Environment to support all the tests required;
  • Provide expertise on Software Quality Assurance to the application development, support and maintenance teams;
  • Drive to identify and manage project-level risks associated with/during testing;
  • Drive to identify and escalate (as required) issues associated with/during testing;
  • Cross-team collaboration with other IMT domains to drive business and technology innovation;
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in enabling technologies and understand the implication to software testing methods;
  • Provide training on Test Management Tools to ensure test execution swiftly executed;
  • Manage usability testing tool and licenses control;
  • Execute and manage test case provided and executed by both sighted and BVI testers;

E&A

  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above, Masters preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Training And Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in automated testing;
  • Proven experience in leading a team of technology professionals;
  • Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to multiple project stakeholders;
  • Ability to propose probing questions and prepare presentations that have impact;
  • Effective skills in managing corporate project testing engagements;
  • Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications (assertiveness, consensus building, negotiation);
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas;
  • Focus on the end user’s or customer’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour;
  • Solid experience in business analysis, software development and test management
  • Good understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of using different testing technique, like static, specification-based, structured-based, experience-based techniques;
  • Good understanding of the potential benefits and problems of applying different test types, e.g. regression test, usability test, stress test etc.;
  • Proven experience in testing of complex inter-related applications across multiple platforms and infrastructure;
  • Experience in metrics collection and analysis both at the user interface level, application/middleware database component levels and system level;
  • Analysing test results through diagnosis and analysis of various system/application error logs, and transaction metrics and reflecting on risks incurred to test phases;
  • Good business domain and industry knowledge;
  • Certification of ISTQB/PMP/CISA/ITIL is an advantage;
  • Using usability testing tools to setup test cases, conduct UI/UX testing, and analyze on quantitative and qualitative results;
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA with experience in executing accessibility test cases utilizing approved software systems (web – WCAG 2.1, application, software, hardware, devices);
