Job Description Summary This position will be responsible for devising the overall manufacturing &

operations strategy for GE Aerospace Multi modal facility in Pune delivering world class products for Aerospace, Power, Renewables, and Transportation industries. The Role will be responsible for driving overall operations excellence by building manufacturing and people capabilities to achieve organizational objectives of SQDC while building talent pipeline and & nurturing the organizational culture.

The role will responsible for defining & executing short-term and long-term goals, through supported by strong stakeholder engagement. This role will

have P&L responsibility of manufacturing operations and will lead the

delivery of best in class and cost-efficient products to ensure competitive product positioning while having Safety & Quality as 1st Priority and driving Lean Transformation at all levels. Job Description

• Responsible for annual operating budgets both Capex, Opex and manpower etc and all functions of Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain for Manufacturing Site.
• The Role will have a direct reporting of EHS, Operations, Facility & Maintenance, Administration, Warehouse & Logistics, Direct & Indirect Sourcing, Lean & Digital Function.
• The Role will have Dotted line reporting of HR, Finance, Quality & Compliance Team
• Provide inputs and guidance on key decisions such as Make or Buy, manufacturing strategy, supply strategy etc
• Define & mitigate supply chain & manufacturing Operations risk and guide/coach teams for managing challenges on an ongoing basis to meet business goals/ objectives
• To build a customer centric organization and deliver customer specific value propositions in line with customers’ business priorities
• Review purchase trends and supply strategy for effective planning of running operations in most cost-efficient manner
• Review and drive quality excellence in the operations.
• Review production plans and guide smooth execution and processes to meet market requirements/ customer demands
• Oversee overall supply chain and operations planning including inbound logistics & Customs & Warehousing
• Lead Lean Transformation through connected flow & Industry 4.0 tools in manufacturing processes
• Review manufacturing footprint and prepare short term/ long term capacity/ facility planning across products line
• Establish strong relationship with internal as well external stakeholders like Customer, Supplier etc. to ensure seamless support and effective running of operations.
• Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables
• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
• Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
• Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
• Coach and develop team members at all levels to help them build their Lean skills and become Lean Practitioners
• Support Line Operations Leader in lean activity implement, result tracking and sustainment, as well as lean roadmap deployment
• Be responsible for identifying problems and work towards solving them using lean tools and methods
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Master's / Bachelor degree in Engineering / Management from an accredited university or college with Extensive manufacturing, operations and supply chain leadership experience (at least 20 years) with 5+ Years in Leadership Role
• Experience in industrializing and running state-of the art production facilities in Automotive & Engineering or Equivalent Industries.
• Demonstrated Experience of Leading P&L & Diversified Product Manufacturing Large Site.
