We are currently seeking to recruit a Networks Program Manager to join our teams within Crawley, West Sussex, UK.

Role Overview:

This position is for an experienced professional with good knowledge and developed expertise in Program Management, who leads a wide range of Program sizes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Networks Program for the EMEA Channel, covering the following product groups, Messaging, Connectivity & Commercial ABMS, ARINC Mail & ARINC Integrator.
  • The Program Manager will serve as the face of the organisation to the large number of customers in the channel.
  • Deliver Gate reviews in line with company DOA.
  • Oversees overall operational performance and success.
  • Responsible for the accountability of the matrixed workforce in organisational operations and customer projects.
  • Directs all Program phases from inception through completion.
  • Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.
  • Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and financial performance of company Programs or subsystems of major Programs.
  • Coordinates the commercial models, pricing, negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for Programs.
  • Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
  • Develops Program plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supports strategic planning efforts, solutions for Program problems, contract negotiations and manages important vendors.
  • Participates in and leads the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organisation's interests.
  • Manage & execute a wide range of Program sizes and/or processes.
  • Manage any and all Risks & Opportunities, mitigate risks with well thought out strategic & tactical plans.
  • Typically viewed as subject-matter expert within discipline.
  • Has advanced to expert knowledge of work area.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
  • Minimal oversight from Manager.
  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to matrixed professionals.
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • Leads medium size Programs to ensure adherence to Program plans, schedules and budgets for Programs under their responsibility and recommends appropriate adjustments.
  • Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports.
  • Prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results.
  • Supports annual and long-range strategic planning efforts for the business.
  • Guides continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and quality.
  • Identifies and reacts to Program problems and supports solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications.
  • Supports the development of new business growth strategies.
  • Responsibility Statements - coordinates responses to customer action items.

Basic Qualifications / Experience:

  • A University Degree or relevant equivalent experience with proven prior relevant experience as a Program Manager or an Advanced Degree in a related field and relevant experience.
