Position Summary:

The Manager, Bussing Operations supports airside flows through the provision of bussing services, contingency bussing services airside and groundside, and the operation of supporting GSE to enable hardstand operations at Toronto Pearson. Ensuring availability of supporting equipment for passenger boarding, aircraft power and pre-conditioned air at designated remote stands. This manager will engage, coach and guide the Airfield Supervisors, Lead Hands, and the reporting staff.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Management of the service delivery of the bussing program on all airside areas and support to irregular operations (IRROPS) plans for groundside areas
  • Lead people by providing coaching, guidance and development by providing feedback for personal and career growth
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with both internal and external partners to deliver Bussing requirements
  • Identifying requirements (staff, equipment, and material) to ensure that Bussing and Hardstand Operations have resources available to support the day-of operation to deliver on the Strategic Plan
  • Resolution of systemic issues faced by the Bussing team
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to identify any shortfalls in service provisions and identify potential areas for improvement
  • Monitoring of budgets for assigned Bussing team and Airside Bussing program
  • Develop and maintain the Airside Bussing Plan
  • Develop, implement and monitor processes, standard operating procedures and protocols for the Bussing Program


The salary for this management non-unionized position is competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.

Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Aviation Management; Business Management; Engineering or Logistics
  • 5 + years of demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • 3 + years of people management or leadership experience; building impactful, highly skilled and motivated teams
  • 3 + years of relevant administrative, marketing, airport operations, customer service and/or event planning experience is preferred
  • Must have a valid Ontario G Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent)
  • Able to obtain and retain a D/A AVOP (Airside driver's license) within 30 days of appointment to the position
  • Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
