PURPOSENegotiate and agree contracts with telecom suppliers in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region (Internet Suppliers, Network suppliers or Integrators, Telecommunication Carriers and Airport Authorities) and manage them through their lifecycle. Be the functional lead for two Supplier Managers, one dedicated to Asia-Pacific and one to Middle-East and North Africa. Ensure compliance to Purchasing policy as well as adherence to agreed supplier operational processes and best practices. Own commercial and contractual relationship with telecom suppliers and manage supplier performance. Obtain value for money from suppliers and contracts. Be the central point of expertise for Telecom sourcing in the Asia-Pacific & Middles East region.
What will you do- Source services as required by the sales teams or the product management organization
- Support sales teams with service information and coordinate bid opportunities with suppliers
- Manage, track, measure and monitor the status of all sourcing and contract negotiations activity
- Manage supplier contracts and other legal agreements for compliance
- Ensure compliance with contract approval process and adherence to contract standards
- Generate cost savings and cost avoidance through good negotiation skills, re-negotiation / re-rating of installed base and competitive sourcing practice (RFP,...)
- Monitor and review supplier performance, relationship and competitiveness
- Assist in establishing supplier Service Level Agreements and metrics dashboard
- Review and evaluate suppliers Service Level Agreements to identify areas of improvement
- Maintain up to date supplier products and services portfolio catalogue in Supplier Knowledge Database
- Maintain a process for dealing with contractual escalations or contractual disputes, and ensure all contractual escalations and contractual disputes are resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure that all supplier processes are consistent and interface to all corporate supplier strategies, processes, and standard terms and conditions
- Seek and provide information from suppliers for improvements in products and services
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, key stakeholders, executives and vendors
- Oversee / manage supplier escalation process, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed from inception to resolution
- Assist SITA project teams on recommendation of desired vendor solutions for SITA customers, giving expertise in supplier qualifications
- Support the regional Business Units for customized deals.
- Manage operational performance review for our top and critical suppliers in the APAC region.
- Ensure SITA efficiency at airports by supporting airport solution and partnering with airport authorities and airport suppliers in the APAC region.
- Coordinate and be responsible for the fullfillment of above key activities by the two Supplier managers
EXPERIENCE- Minimum 5 years experience in a telecom procurement role
- Minimum 10 years experience, preferably in the telecom or IT industry
- Experience in definition and management of service levels and operational metrics-
- Experience in negotiating & managing contractual relationships with telecom suppliers
- Experience in developing and implementing processes for specifying tendering and selecting suppliers
- Experience in people and project management
- Budget management and cost controlling
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONSA Master's degree from recognised international school preferably in business administration or telecommunications is preferred but a Bachelor's degree may be considered
Subsequent Management training or qualification
