The Senior Advisor, Internal Communications is a key member of the Internal Communications team, partnering with teams across the Qantas Group to deliver clear, engaging and effective communication that supports business priorities and employee engagement.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you'll develop communication strategies, create high-quality content and provide trusted advice to stakeholders across a number of corporate portfolios. You'll support the delivery of key business updates, employee campaigns, leadership communications and events, helping employees stay connected to our strategy, understand what matters most across the Group and feel informed about the initiatives shaping our future.
You'll also work closely with colleagues across Corporate Affairs, People and Government Relations, support crisis and issues communications when required, and use audience insights to continuously improve the effectiveness of our channels and communications.
You’ll have –
- Five or more years communications experience in a large corporate or agency, including
- employee and HR program communications
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience producing content for large internal audiences and the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging communication.
- Experience advising and influencing stakeholders at a range of levels, including senior leaders.
- Sound understanding of internal communication channels and how to engage diverse employee audiences.
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation, issues management or crisis communications.
- Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong self drive, creativity and flexibility, with a positive, can-do attitude and a readiness to tackle new challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
