About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Continuous Improvement Lead Engineer to lead transformation and capability enhancement initiatives within our Engine Facility.
In this role, you will identify, evaluate, and deliver projects that strengthen engine maintenance capabilities, enhance operational efficiency, improve facilities and procedures, and support long-term business growth. You will lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Lead and manage improvement projects across the Engine Facility, focusing on maintenance capabilities, operational performance, facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities that improve efficiency, safety, quality, productivity, and business outcomes.
- Develop project business cases, implementation strategies, budgets, and delivery plans.
- Establish project objectives, milestones, performance metrics, and success criteria.
- Monitor project performance and ensure delivery within agreed timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards.
Drive Capability Development
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new engine maintenance capabilities through analysis of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Engine Manuals, Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD).
- Partner with production and technical teams to identify opportunities that enhance maintenance capability, operational performance, safety, and commercial value.
- Lead feasibility reviews and provide recommendations to management on future capability investments and enhancements.
Deliver Project Excellence
- Develop comprehensive project plans covering all phases of implementation, including:
- Preliminary Reviews
- Detailed Evaluations
- Planning & Budgeting
- Facility Readiness
- Tooling & Equipment Readiness
- Manpower & Task Card Requirements
- Procedures & Regulatory Approvals
- Execution and Deployment
- Allocate resources effectively and coordinate stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Assign and oversee project focal points while ensuring consistency, accountability, and high-quality deliverables.
- Provide regular progress updates, financial visibility, risk assessments, and escalation of critical issues.
Improve Operational Efficiency
- Analyse production and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and performance improvement opportunities.
- Review and optimise maintenance procedures, workflows, and operational practices.
- Identify procedural gaps and implement sustainable solutions that improve productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure best-practice methods and solutions are applied throughout all Engine Facility activities.
Enhance Facilities and Safety
- Identify facility enhancement opportunities that improve operational capability, efficiency, safety, and employee productivity.
- Assess facility layouts and recommend improvements to optimise workflow and resource utilisation.
- Review risk assessments and ensure the highest levels of safety and compliance are maintained across all projects.
- Support equipment enhancement and facility development initiatives to enable future business requirements.
Lead, Develop and Inspire Teams
- Establish objectives and priorities for the Continuous Improvement function in alignment with departmental and organisational goals.
- Lead, coach, develop, and mentor engineers and technical staff to build a high-performing team.
- Support succession planning by developing future engineering talent.
- Champion national talent development by coaching and developing Qatari employees and graduates.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.
Compliance, Safety & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with safety, security, quality, environmental, and data protection requirements.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying risks and driving continuous improvement in operational safety performance.
- Support environmental sustainability objectives by incorporating environmental considerations into project planning and decision-making.
Qualification
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in:
- Project Management
- Project Engineering
- Project Planning
- Continuous Improvement
- Operational Excellence Programmes
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered in line with organisational requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience evaluating maintenance data, technical manuals, and regulatory documentation.
- Sound understanding of quality assurance, compliance, and engineering governance.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, capability development, and facility readiness activities.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, cost, scope, and quality management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
