As Senior Product Manager, you will join the Value-Added Services (VAS) business leading the Product Management team. You’ll have your own product area (TBD)where you will be accountable for owning the customer problem definition, market analysis, defining the strategy and driving the execution, and managing the product life cycle through championing and driving business performance. As well as your individual contribution, you will be key in leading and managing a team of product owners, providing guidance, coaching, and support.

What you will do
Product Strategy and roadmap for SITA Value Added Services (VAS)
- Thoroughly analyze and develop a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs for the delivery, support, and maintenance of VAS
- Propose and execute the strategy for the product(s) in line with SITA's strategy including drafting product roadmaps and operating plans)
- Articulate and document the product vision strategy and define the target market
- Coordinate with other departments to prepare documentation and presentations for Investment decisions
- Provide regular updates on business performance, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.
Sales/Channel Strategy and Support
- Establish and implement an effective channel 'go to market' strategy for the products, including an agreed and executed sales and marketing plan
- Support bid management processes and pre-sales customer interactions
- Support Sales forces with a clear product value proposition and training
Product Innovation/Definition
- Through a thorough understanding of customer needs, the competitive landscape, and market trends, regularly identify new opportunities, as well as requirements for enhancements to existing products/services
- Accountable for the products' functional requirements
- Lead/Sponsor of each product development project throughout the build/launch process to ensure delivery of the right product to market, within the agreed timescales. Propose process improvements where necessary.
- Develop and lead a cross-functional team that helps shape ongoing strategy and ensures the timely/cost-effective and quality delivery of product developments and product performance
People Management
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes where applicable
- Drive team performance, set goals, and monitor progress.
- Coach and guide team members on personal development areas, share knowledge and support their growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
- Oversee the individual product strategies, offering guidance and support to find synergies and alignment.
Product Road map/Life Cycle Management
- Develop and manage the product road map throughout the life cycle from conception to retirement- including the sunset or migration of products
- Track and make recommendations on the management of product P&L, revenue, new business, and profitability including competitive pricing in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit
- Make recommendations for planning and prioritizing product investments in the context of the solution line portfolio strategy.
Product Marketing/Value Proposition/Market Intelligence
- Define and develop the portfolio/product value proposition
- Responsible for all product marketing activities during the lifetime of the product including the implementation of the product launch plan, promotional and collateral support plan, and sales support/infrastructure plan to drive the successful acquisition and retention of customers
- Organize, run, and work with key user groups and important customer forums to develop customer relationships and influence market thinking
- Propose enhancements and process documents
- Present VAS products to internal and external audiences to facilitate relationships and gain new opportunities.
Product Pricing Strategy
- Define a comprehensive pricing strategy for the product(s)
- Ensure that key players, including Sales, Bid, and SGS, understand and apply the pricing strategy.
Product Performance
- Responsible for achieving product financial, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
- Ensure that stakeholders are fully engaged and committed to achieving these objectives.
- Responsible for maintaining product documentation and information
Product Management Practice
- Ensure a complete communication of the 'project plans progress tracking' to all relevant parties getting their strong commitment.
- Contribute to the Product Management practice, working with Product Management peers to drive best practices across the SITA Product Management community
- Support with the onboarding of new product management tools and platforms
- Act as coordinator for those working on product development, stage gate, and product projects
- Act as mentor/coach to more junior members within the Product management community.
Who you are
- 8 to 12 years relevant business experience in a high-tech, global company with preferably a matrix organizational environment
- Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a technical, business, or marketing discipline. Master’s degree preferred
- Good knowledge of Business Intelligence / Analytics tools
- Innovation Skills and a track record of significant experience in defining market requirements and functional specifications
- Very good knowledge of Product Management, Stage-Gate, or other product development methodology
- Very good understanding of the latest trends and innovations within the airline/airport industry and relevant technology areas
- A demonstrated track record of success in delivering lasting results.
- Product Management in a global business environment and within a technology solutions-based business
- Good capability of leading and influencing virtual teams focused on delivery and support within an international environment.
