Parker Hannifin is seeking a full-time Plant Manager to lead Operations at the Urjala facility. The site employs approximately 60 production and office personnel.
Reporting to the Division Operations Manager, this role involves leading an empowered team to consistently exceed customer expectations by implementing the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, and reduce operating costs through continuous improvement, while managing day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
Job Duties:
Ensure high safety standards and drive a strong safety culture across the location with a focus on achieving a zero incident rate and robust near miss reporting.
Develop a world-class operation through continuous improvement, automation, standardized processes and demand flow technologies, supported by an engaged and empowered team.
Drive cost reduction and operational improvements by simplifying product complexity and leveraging zero defects and lean methodologies to maximize efficiency.
Partner closely with the Parker Leadership team to support and achieve organizational goals. Develop a budget plan with the Parker leadership team and manage the site within budget constraints.
Collaborate with key customers to promote Parker’s technologies and deliver exceptional service.
Provide strong leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, mentoring, training, and talent management to develop employees’ potential and ensure high performance.
What we are expecting from you
- Suitable technical, business or management education or another background relevant to the role.
- Proven experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.
- Proven track record of effective Lean implementation and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management and employees.
- Able to understand and respond to business/customer needs and expectations.
- Ability to motivate, lead, and coach people at all levels, while maintaining robust relationships with all supporting functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English.
