Role Introduction
Reports to: Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager – Compliance & Performance
Strengthen procurement compliance by transforming data from multiple systems into clear controls, timely insights and practical action. You will monitor alignment with Cathay’s procurement standards, policies and processes across the Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle, giving procurement teams and leaders greater visibility of risks, trends and areas for improvement.
Combining compliance oversight with analytical expertise, you will automate real-time dashboards, oversee platforms such as SAP Spend Control Tower and Ariba Spend Visibility, and investigate issues when they arise. Working across category teams, procurement leadership and senior management, you will translate findings into corrective actions, preventive measures and improvements to Procurement Policy and Procedures.
Your work will help strengthen procurement governance, improve reporting accuracy and embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, contributing directly to professional excellence across Cathay’s procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard compliance and alignment with Cathay’s procurement standards, policies and processes across the Source-to-Pay lifecycle
- Monitor compliance and performance through clear, actionable reports, dashboards and presentations using data from category teams, procurement leaders and other sources for senior management
- Lead investigations into compliance issues, develop corrective and preventive measures, and support regular updates to Procurement Policy and Procedures
- Oversee analytical platforms such as SAP Spend Control Tower, Ariba Spend Visibility and reporting modules, including the integration, enrichment and classification of data from multiple sources
- Automate dashboard creation and updates to support real-time reporting, reduce manual effort, minimise errors and accelerate reporting cycles
- Map manual reporting workflows and identify opportunities to automate data entry, validation and report generation through appropriate automation platforms
- Equip and train procurement colleagues to use analytical modules when developing category strategies and action plans
- Drive continuous improvement in compliance and performance across Source-to-Pay processes by analysing spend, procurement benefits, purchasing channels and customer feedback for trends, patterns and anomalies
- Collaborate across teams to address compliance concerns, communicate best practices and provide practical guidance
- Manage projects and support strategic initiatives for the Procurement Centre of Excellence as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, reporting or analytics
- Degree holder in Procurement, Business Administration, Information Technology or related discipline
- Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, SAP Spend Control Tower, Ariba Upstream, Ariba Spend Visibility, Ariba Guided Buying) and data governance best practices.
- Experience with automation and visualisation tools (such as Power-BI, SAP Analytical Cloud, RPA platforms) or advanced modelling tools for data analysis.
- Strong understanding of data integration, workflow mapping, and process automation
- Ability to design intuitive, real-time dashboards tailored for compliance monitoring
- Excellent numerical, writing & reporting and analytical skills to interpret dashboard data and drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong follow-through on deliverables
- Project management experience will be an advantage
