- Analyze planned and optimized cabin crew rosters to ensure operational efficiency and fairness.
- Monitor timely release of rosters in compliance with DGCA regulations, company policies, and crew welfare rules.
- Review flight and duty hour distribution among crew and report findings to the reporting manager.
- Guide roster planners in developing monthly rosters aligned with operational needs and crew availability.
- Monitor annual and short leave bidding and assignment processes within defined timelines.
- Ensure completion of pre-assignment tasks and carry-forward non-availability entries.
- Ensure Annual Line Checks (ALC), Deadhead (DH) travel, HOTAC, and seat blocking are planned and communicated before roster release.
- Maintain and update trackers related to roster planning and crew availability.
- Monitor audit reports prior to roster release and ensure dissemination of mandatory reports post-publication.
- Stay current with CAR requirements, CCTM, DPM, and company policies to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Flight Ops, Training, Licensing, HOTAC, HR, and IT teams to align roster planning with business goals.
- Provide solutions to roster planners when training changes impact roster coverage.
- Work with in-house developers and IT teams to optimize rostering systems and automate processes.
- Undertake projects and studies to improve roster planning efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supervise roster planning staff and support training of new team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving using cost-effective strategies.
- Handle operational challenges proactively and escalate issues to the reporting manager as needed.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
