Position Summary
Responsible for providing production support related to product performance issues and defective raw material within the assigned value chain. Accountable for monitoring department KPIs, as well as developing corrective actions for customer and internal issues. Ensures compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
Responsibilities
Control, monitor, and improve product release inspection mechanisms for the assigned division value streams.
Properly track and measure assigned department KPIs.
Develop action plans for metrics that are off-target, as well as corrective actions for customer-reported issues.
Ensure compliance with assigned Quality Management System processes.
Control and report raw material defects with buyers.
Analyze PPAP documentation from external suppliers.
Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizens, transfers, etc.).
Responsible for material disposition, process audits, quality/safety-related process stops, and approval or rejection of management system deviations and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of ISO standards.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Basic knowledge of material properties.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance in the metal-mechanical industry, with a supplier-focused scope.
1+ year of experience in design engineering.
Experience reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications.
Understanding and interpretation of manufacturing audits.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Advanced knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to interpret hydraulic diagrams.
