Ryanair Engineering delivered by SIAM (Spanish International Aircraft Maintenance) have a Technical Standards Engineer position to join our Heavy Maintenance team in Seville. SIAM provides heavy maintenance services to the Ryanair fleet. Ryanair is Europe’s favourite low fares airline, operating more than 1,600 daily flights (over 500,000 per year) from 68 bases, across 1,600 low fare routes, connecting 186 destinations in 30 countries and on a fleet of over 520 modern Boeing 737NG, Boeing 737-8200 Game Changer and Airbus A320 aircraft and will continue to expand by more than 200 aircraft by 2026.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Standards Engineer to join our Technical Standards Department in Seville. Reporting to the PAML Technical Standards Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling maintenance standards, procedures, and technical documentation that support safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance operations. Acting as a key link between operational teams, Safety, and Compliance functions, the role ensures that technical requirements are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and effectively managed across the organisation. The position also supports continuous improvement and key organisational change.
- Assist in amendments of the organisation’s procedures and manuals (MOE, including the associated procedure(s)) with due consideration of EASA/UKCAA regulatory requirement and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for assisting PAML Managers and Supervisors to complete effective root cause and corrective actions in relation to safety occurrences, information security events/vulnerabilities and findings raised as a result of compliance audits or internal reporting scheme output.
- Responsible for compliance with and promotion of the Safety Policy and Objectives.
- Assist in the timely closure of appropriate group containment and corrective actions because of safety occurrences, audit findings or information security events/vulnerabilities.
- Navigate and utilize engineering systems including Boeing fleet technical documentation systems, Digital technical document libraries and Technical Services Query dashboards
- Work in accordance with company manuals and procedures, including Maintenance Organisation Exposition’s (MOE), Technical Standards Manual (TSM) and Safety Management Manual (SMM)
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (EASA/UK CAA Part 145 & Part CAMO) would be a distinct advantage
- Attention to detail and high standards of documentation accuracy
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong safety mindset and awareness of human factors
- Experience in aircraft maintenance or technical support environment
- Knowledge of document control/revision in a technical/regulated environment
- Familiarity with MyBoeingFleet
- Knowledge and experience of using AMOS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suit and Smartsheet
