How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Specialist, Treasury will have responsibility for managing all debt and lease activities in Delta's Treasury Management System. Additional responsibilities to include ownership of Delta's banking counterparty risk model and analysis of bank fees. This position requires finance and technical acumen along with the ability to partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Input new debt and lease transactions into Delta's Treasury Management System, FIS Quantum. This involves partnership with the Capital Markets and Financial Reporting teams to understand the contractual terms of the transaction and translate those into Quantum to ensure that deals are tracked and accounted for properly.
- Ongoing management of debt and lease deals in Quantum including debt service payments, interest rate resets and oversight of monthly accruals
- Support the Treasury Services team by posting accounting entries to SAP
- Utilize Bloomberg to manage Delta's banking counterparty risk model to monitor the financial health of the institutions where Delta holds cash deposits
- Review and process trustee fee invoices
- Utilize Redbridge Hawkeye to analyze and identify any discrepancies related bank fees
- Prepare Delta's debt maturity ladder on a quarterly basis
- Maintain amortization schedules for debt issuance costs in Delta’s Treasury management system
- Prepare and distribute debt compliance certificates in accordance with lending agreements on a quarterly basis
- Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis for Financial Reporting and Capital Markets
- Respond to external audit requests including EY audit deliverables, SOX compliance activities, debt and lease payment support, and process walk throughs
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment partnering with individuals outside both the department and company.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
- Understanding of Finance and Accounting fundamentals
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is preferred
- Experience with a Treasury Management System, Bloomberg knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency with SAP
- Experience with corporate debt and lease instruments
