The role
Are you a talented Control, Instrumentation & Electrical (CI&E) Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the global marine industry? We're seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to our continued success as the world leader in delivering innovative solutions for liquefied gas transportation and storage.
As a CI&E Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting large-scale process engineering projects for our key customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing and coordinating calculations, data sheets, specifications, schedules, and drawings to meet project goals.
- Mentoring graduate engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Contributing to safety assessments, including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, SIL, and LoPA.
- Promoting openness, honesty, and commitment to our company values.
- Supporting health, safety, environmental, quality, and other company policies.
- Anticipating and mitigating potential problems.
- Exploring opportunities for role development, including increased Warranty and Aftersales support involving vessel visits.
This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based in Rosyth with hybrid working arrangements - 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
Experience of the Control, Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer
- CI&E experience: Proven project and design engineering background in the process industry (preferred) or related industries such as water, wastewater, power, pharmaceutical, drinks, or food.
- Adaptability: Ability to meet deadlines and respond effectively to client changes.
- Design engineering skills: Expertise in E&I control panel layout.
- PLC & HMI expertise: Strong programming track record.
- Safety knowledge: Understanding of IEC 60079 ATEX standards, CompEx certification preferred.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Siemens/Allen Bradley/GE IP systems, remote monitoring system protocols, and FAT/site commissioning experience.
Qualifications of the Control, Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered or working towards accreditation preferred.
- Demonstrated relevant experience.
- Strong competency in at least two of the three core technical disciplines: Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
