Summary
The Quality Inspector ensures all assigned inspections are properly completed and documented in compliance with established policies and procedures and corresponding inspection forms and reports are properly executed prior to releasing products for use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use and interpret work instructions and associated documents to ensure conformity of product.
- Performs final inspection of the product.
- Ensure all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures and corresponding inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed prior to releasing products.
- When necessary, create nonconforming material reports.
- Performing analysis, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of products or components identified as non-conforming during an in-process and final inspection.
- Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring that it is used within the calibration cycle, and is in good working condition.
- Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare accepted product for use by appropriately labeling product to indicate status and printing unique device identification labels as necessary.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Inspection role
- Proficient in all aspects of inspection including using and maintaining all inspection equipment
- Experience with reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings required
- Expertise in the application and use of gauges and inspection equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation and time management skills
- Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Quality team and other cross-functional teams as required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn various manufacturing software systems
- Experience with ISO9000 or AS9100 Quality Systems a plus
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Security Clearance is not required for this position.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.

Physical Demands *
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation
$18.50/hr to $24.50/hr
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
