The Senior Partner Lead is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of strategic alliances and partner relationships that enhance and complement the Amadeus Airlines Solutions Offer.
The main focus of this role is the development of the relationship between the partner and Amadeus entities (transversal, R&D, and other Business Units). The activities include articulating the commercial models, managing commercial relationships with partners, and facilitating the integration with the Amadeus platform and services. The partner lead will also ensure that all initiatives follow all internal product and partner development processes.
Your Main Responsibilities
Common Accountabilities
The Senior Partner Lead will:
- Develop and deepen relationships with strategic partners and tech giants, acting as an advocate within Airline Solutions and the Amadeus regional commercial organization.
- Define overall partnership objectives and support the development of business initiatives from ideation through execution.
- Support the articulation of the overall partnership value proposition for identified initiatives.
- Facilitate regular and initiative-specific knowledge sharing between both companies, including training opportunities, product roadmaps, technical deep dives, etc.
- Guide commercial activities of any partner initiatives in the Airlines Solutions space, working with the partner and the Amadeus organizations to anticipate and mitigate partner/project risks, manage partner contribution to project delivery, and handle risks and escalations.
- Address complex situations based on strategic alignment, business opportunity, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate with internal organizations to support the partner relationship and partnership initiatives (for example: legal, procurement, product management, product market management, and regional commercial organizations).
- Identify key value levers for the partnership and define KPIs to track success.
- Maintain and evolve the contractual setup required to develop relationships with strategic partners.
- Share knowledge to define standard practices and policies across the partnership team.
- Support the implementation of partnership initiatives ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
Specific Accountabilities
As a senior leader, you will be expected to be a recognized expert in the industry, notably:
- Serving as an advisor within the Airline Solutions organization, guiding others in resolving complex issues with implications on cross functional business processes and outcomes.
- Understanding industry drivers, uses financial indicators to measure performance and effectively drives business decisions
- Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to other Managers in relation to partners and contributing to a culture of innovation.
- Actively contribute to shape and execute the overall AIR vision/ambition on strategic partners, alliances and relationships.
- Works independently, while ensuring alignment with transversal organizations (notably Corporate Strategy and other Business Units) and ensuring concise and relevant briefings to senior management on the partners.
Who are we looking for?
- Extensive commercial and negotiation experience in complex agreements (bilateral and trilateral agreements).
- Thorough understanding of Amadeus Airlines Solutions and the airline industry.
- Ability to translate strategy into concrete actions/initiatives.
- Experience working with or in consultancy companies.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
