The Role
The General Manager will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the business, working alongside the Regional Director Eastern Europe
The General Manager has overall responsibility, for significantly contributing to the strategy formulation for the country. He / she is responsible for the implementation of the approved strategy, as well as the management and running of the operations of all the cycles of the business and projects in the areas under his / her responsibility. He / she is also responsible for all issues and aspects relating local to authorities and other relevant parties.
The key areas to be covered are full P&L responsibility delivering a profitable operation; liaising with airports to identify new opportunities; leading the build and fit out of new units meeting all legal and regulatory requirements; overseeing and managing operations and departments; driving units through dynamic sales and marketing activities and developing successful relations with client airport and partnerships with airlines.
The General Manager reports to the Regional Director of Eastern Europe.
Main Duties
Strategy & Business Development
Significantly contributes towards formulation and is responsible to implement the strategy
Ensures that the country has the correct organization structure (operations and support functions) to deliver the agreed strategy and action plan.
Identifies target airports and proactively engages with airlines and other potential partners to seek new opportunities.
Monitors is aware of and reports on all competitor activities.
Raises the profile of the company through networking, business contacts and PR and management of relations with local partners and local authorities and other key stakeholders.
Is responsible of the efficient management and timely openings of new projects and units in the country.
P&L Ownership
Delivers a profitable P&L through maximizing revenues and minimizing costs, through various initiatives, without compromising quality of products, service, compliance, and non-monetary targets.
Achieves savings on current costs through careful management of expenditures and introduces a cost reduction program through efficient Supplier selection and management.
Responsible for marketing calendar and initiatives (also taking into consideration Group requirements and initiatives)
Is responsible for creating and implementing a VCP (value creation plan) for the country
Monitors the F&B Cost, payroll and other expenses and carries out GP Margin analysis and KPIs analysis by establishing thresholds as a management tool.
Reviews and signs-off all key reports and makes appropriate benchmark comparisons, comments, and investigations.
Operations
Ensures that the correct and appropriate operational tools are developed and implemented to ensure maximum efficiency, products, and service quality, as well as brand and Group standards.
Overviews the work carried out by the operations teams and identifies any areas of weaknesses that need to be addressed.
Ensures the implementation of IT systems and requirements based on Group guidelines
Compliance, Internal Controls, Policies & Procedures
Has the overall responsibility for ensuring that the required, policies, procedures, and controls for all aspects of operation (operations and support functions) are in place and reviewed periodically to ensure relevance and adequacy.
Ensures compliance with required local and international laws.
Ensures compliance with all relevant Group policies, procedures, and controls.
Ensures compliance with all relevant brand standards.
Ensures compliance on H&S, Sustainability and GDPR with legal, regulatory and Group requirements.
People Management
Leads colleagues to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

ESSENTIAL
Qualifications
- College \ University Degree.
- Must be able to pass Health Checks, background checks and finger printing.
Experience
- Proven track record in F&B industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a similar position.
- 5 years in a Brand recognized Manager position.
- Experience of client relationships
