The role
As a Business Planning Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working in a highly dynamic and fast paced working environment providing toolsets that supports all levels of the organisation.
Day-to-day, you’ll be striving to improve organisational alignment and financial performance, by linking strategic and operational planning.
- Working with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the Submarine’s, both near and long-term portfolio
- Ensuring capture of all underlying assumptions and ensuring they are built into future plans
- Maintaining change control records to ensure they are kept up to date
- Providing updates and reports to support strategic decision making
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Business Planning Specialist
- Experience within a planning and programme management environment
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of Programs (Especially MS Excel)
- Competence in the use of Primavera P6 preferred, although training will be provided
- Demonstrably numerate and analytical skills with the ability to identify key opportunities and issues
- An Understanding of risk principles would be advantageous
Qualifications for the Business Planning Specialist
- Educated to a HNC level or recognised equivalent experience
- Professional Planning or Business Management Qualification - Desirable
