Accounting Specialist EMEA
We are now seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the small SAS Team in Poland. You will work closely with the Team in Poland, cooperating with colleagues in Scandinavia and outsourced Teams. You will report to the Manager of Financial Control & HR Shared Services EMEA in Warsaw.
As an Accounting Specialist EMEA at SAS you will be responsible for:
- Reconciliation of balance accounts
- Dealing with queries from suppliers
- Secure financial compliance
- Support of accounting operations (AP/AR/RTR)
- Cooperation with SAS & outsource colleagues
- On site contact for internal & external audits
- Statistical reporting to local authorities for various countries
- Supporting in handling EMEA mailboxes
- Dealing with EMEA customers
- Support for EMEA HR & Finance Control Team
- Work on or assist with special projects, if/when requested
- Assistance during yearly closing & budget preparation
To be successful, we believe you should have:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in either accounting, finance, or business administration
- strong math and organizational skills
- 2-4 years of professional experience in accounting
- advanced knowledge of technology such as ERP systems, Excel and databases, MS applications
- ability to solve problems & process optimization to achieve greater efficiency
- knowledge about the dynamics of the airline business would be an asset
Languages requirements:
- Polish language, both written and spoken
- Thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of another language (Dutch or French or German or Spanish) subject to countries responsibility, will be a good asset.
