The role
As a Senior Business Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of our Nuclear Operational Services business stream. It’s a key customer facing role, providing a single point of contact for customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities and will have responsibility to profit and loss. The role will play a major part in the continuous improvement in the delivery of our existing business and in securing our future business in a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Day to day, you’ll work to maintain our current market position, leveraging our business and thinking strategically, creating opportunities for growth. In achieving this, Customer relationships will be at the heart of this role. As a strategic role, you will be accountable for the creation and management of key stakeholder relationships at Customer sites by courageously exercising strong interpersonal skills with a keen desire to collaborate and group connections and networks.
- Contrasting with customer relationships, the Business manager shall be expected to perform account planning that will feed into reliable business forecasts and the 5-year plan.
- Accountability shall also extend to securing and maintaining profit margins.
- Think outcomes by creating and maintaining a local strategic customer account plan. This may extend to taking a view of several sites, with the ability to identify synergies and opportunities across difference sites and areas.
- Creating and maintaining strategic stakeholder plans that align to our business goals whilst demonstrating how it will be executed to ensure regular contact to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Maintain customer satisfaction survey schedules, track customer satisfaction (index) and drive improvement.
- Through collaboration, develop a strategy for growth for customer sites, identifying specific long-term strategies with execution plans.
- Perform business analysis, employing trends and intelligence to anticipate future demand.
- Coordinate Gate reviews for delegated site proposals whilst providing key intelligence for win strategies.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and will require regular travel to internal and external sites with some overnight stays.
Essential experience of the Senior Business Manager
- To be successful in this Senior role you will be naturally kind, and courageous in building and maintaining relationships often operating at customer sites, confident to make introductions and foster new networks. Building intimate relationships is a complex and iterative process and you will be actively supported to make a positive impact.
- You will be working at times independently and therefore there will be a high expectation for you to own and delivery actions and deliverables, clearly showing commitment and assurance to deliver on time in full.
