The role
As a Appian Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary you will have delivery responsibilities within a team of dedicated developers to ensure that you and the team deliver technical solutions for customers on time and to the expected quality standard provided by the Systems Development
Manager.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with new and current software as you undertake requirements reviews, technical design, modelling, software development, unit testing and deployment of new applications as well as continual improvement to existing applications.
Main Responsibilities
- To ensure software development is undertaken in accordance with IT quality, plan and procedures.
- To undertake efficient software development using good design and implementation methodologies.
- To undertake unit testing to verify developed software performs in accordance with the supporting requirements.
- To attend workshops / reviews / stand-ups to discuss the development project, demonstrate progress to date and communicate with project stakeholders.
- To build and maintain software releases and patches in accordance with agreed Policies and Procedures - providing out of hours support during for these software releases and patches when required.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite a month.
Essential experience of the Principal Appian Developer
- 5 + years’ experience working in a similar position
- Demonstratable knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
- Knowledge of waterfall, iterative and agile approaches to software delivery.
- Extensive experience Appian
- A good knowledge of database design and working SQL is desirable.
