Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Shipping Processor to join our team in
Huntington Beach, CA.
Occupational Summary:
This occupation requires the inspection of aircraft, missile, ground support equipment parts, assemblies, spares, and loose items for suitability for shipment to customers. Perform inspection of shipping, packaging, crating, and processing. Perform coordination activities to secure uniformity and agreement on specific shipping, processing, and packaging methods. Coordinate with Processing Engineering and/or customer agencies, sales, engineering and crating departments in securing necessary information for determining proper processing and packaging methods. Inspect assemblies such as missile casings, dome, ground support equipment, sub-assemblies, and hydraulic assemblies for completeness of assembly.
Work Performed:
Perform inspections of shipping, packaging, crating, and processing. Perform coordination activities to secure uniformity and agreement on specific shipping, processing, and packaging methods requiring knowledge of Company procedures. Work from blueprints and customer specifications.
Coordinate with Process Engineering and/or customer agencies, Sales, Engineering, and Crating departments in securing necessary information for determining proper processing and packaging methods.
Inspect assemblies such as missile casings, dome, ground support equipment, sub-assemblies, and hydraulic assemblies for completeness of assembly. Inspect aircraft, missile, ground support equipment parts, assemblies, spares, and loose items for suitability for shipment to customers.
Investigate processing and packaging inadequacies. Prepared paperwork as required for rework or rejections noting deviation from specifications on dimensions, finishes, material, or quantity. Stamp or otherwise approved acceptable parts and complete paperwork as required.
Assist with establishing new and improved processing and packaging materials and methods by investigating their practicability and coordinating with Process Engineering for applying suitable tests and securing approval for use
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
- 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- More than 1 year of experience working using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- More than 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing shop floor environment
- More than 1 year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- More than 1 year years of experience operating forklift or jackstacker
Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work/ military experience.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $22.00/hourly- $40.31/hourly
