PLANNING EXECUTIVE (Line Maintenance)
The Planning Coordinators are responsible to the Head Fleet Planning:
a. In general, the Planning Coordinators are rotated to perform Day and Night
duties to support Line Maintenance activities.
Day Duty
- Prepare all work pack for the Line maintenance requirement (i.e. ‘A’ Check and Adhoc job).
- Review the outstanding Hold items to be done during A check and request for the relevant workshop support (e.g. NDT, Painter, Composite, Sheetmetal), the turnaround time (TAT). To request customer for extension to TAT if required.
- Load the task cards into the overnight work package folders for each aircraft. Inform the Line Manager when the tasks are not completed on assigned dates.
- Pre-load and co-ordinate to ensure availability of all Technical documents, spares, tooling and equipment, services (e.g. NDT) and others necessary for accomplishment of the tasks.
- Raise Purchase Requisition for items that are sent to Vendor for repair/servicing.
- For aircraft on “Transit” check, monitor the flight schedule for any flight changes. Update the flight schedule on the aircraft monitor board before end of the day.
Night Duty
- Monitor the work progress of the tasks assigned to each aircraft. Inform the Duty Engineer if the task is behind schedule.
- Obtain prior approval from Customer if any task is to be deferred.
- Receive the overnight work package folder from production, account for the task cards and work package, and vet for completeness. Inform the Duty Engineer immediately for corrective action if any task card has not been properly completed.
- Update the task cards in the overnight package folder.
- For aircraft on “Transit” check, monitor the flight schedule for any flight changes. Update the flight schedule on the aircraft monitor board before
- end of night duty.
- Daily handover of outstanding matters relating to production hold ups is to be carried out between the Day and Night duty personnel at each changeover.
- To co-ordinate with Base work shops for support as and when the need arises.
- Liaise and coordinate for GHA (Ground Handling Agent) and other support facilities for aircraft movements as necessary.
- Consolidate transaction details for billing purposes on services performed for each of the aircraft.
- For ‘A’ Check aircraft, send the completed work-package to Tech Records for their actions.
- For ‘Transit’ Check aircraft, scan a copy of the Tech Log coupon to Tech Record for archive.
- Any other duties assigned by Head Fleet Planning.
