FULFILLMENT BUYER, SUPPLY CHAIN PRODUCTION (STARLINK) –TEMPORARY

This Fulfillment Buyer within the Indirect Procurement team will support purchases for several Starlink locations. The Indirect Procurement team has aggressive objectives that positively impact our product and bottom line. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Issue purchase orders quickly and without error
- Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
- Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
- Review open order reports and manage deliveries
- Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
- Expedite parts as necessary
- Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers
- Support buyers in cost savings initiatives
- Lead miscellaneous procurement projects
POSITION DETAILS:
This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
- LENGTH OF POSITION: 6 months
- LOCATION: Redmond, WA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree OR 2+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Purchasing experience, specifically related to indirect buying
- Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Ability to type >50 WPM
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is based in Redmond and is 100 percent onsite

Pay range:
Fulfillment Buyer/Level 1: $29.00/hour
Your actual level and salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
