The Boeing Company is currently seeking a
C-17 Product Repair/Mod Technician to support Boeing Global Services
in Papa AFB, Hungary.
This position is part of on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) C-17 aircraft based at Papa AB, Hungary.
Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and structural repair) associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet SAC mission requirements.
Additionally, participation in Intermediate level maintenance activities (e.g. back-shop tasks including component repair, test set operation, battery charging, and scheduled periodic inspections) will be required.
This position is required to work one of three shifts Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required to support the flight line maintenance requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to accurate failures or implement changes.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots sophisticated pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Oversees training.
- Works under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Active or ability to obtain NATO or US security clearance.
- Fluency in English language- all technical data to perform the tasks and training are in English. Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language is necessary.
- Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable
- Ability to recognize and appreciate cultural differences.
- Must be able to obtain work visa depending on requirements of the country.
- Ability to work one of three shifts Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required to support the flight line maintenance requirements.
- This position requires to work outdoors in all types of weather condition
- This position does not require experience in the aviation sector.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.
