Position SummaryThe Country Manager, France will be responsible for driving the airline’s sales performance and sales growth within the assigned market. Based in Paris, the primary focus of this role is to maximize revenue with a strong emphasis on premium, VFR, corporate, leisure sales and travel agency partnerships. The Country Manager will be tasked with developing and executing sales strategies that align with both global objectives and local market dynamics ensuring the airline maintains its fair position in the market.
Key Accountability - Drive the sales strategy for France, ensuring revenue targets are met across all key segments while optimizing profitability.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including strategic sales partnerships, corporate contracts, and travel agency incentive agreements. Continuously analyze market dynamics to provide insights and shape future growth strategies.
- Lead negotiations with TMCs, local corporations, and strategic partners to enhance market share and secure valuable contracts.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and capture priority customer segments.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the local sales team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and alignment with business objectives.
- Strengthen team capabilities through consistent training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure readiness in meeting business targets.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture, promoting cross-functional cooperation to drive sales success.
- Oversee the country-level budget, ensuring prudent cost management and optimal resource allocation to meet sales goals.
- Regularly report sales performance to regional and headquarters leadership, providing market insights for revenue and market share growth.
- Set and monitor KPIs for the local sales team to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and continuous improvement
Qualification & Working Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a similar advanced degree would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the aviation or travel industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role..
Area of Experience - Proven ability to lead sales teams and drive airline revenue growth through effective market-entry strategies and business development in the French market.
- Strong understanding of the corporate and leisure travel sectors, including relationships with TMCs, corporate clients, and travel agencies.
- Expertise in building and maintaining long-term partnerships with key stakeholders, corporate clients, and industry partners to ensure sustainable growth.
- Skilled in developing and executing tailored sales and marketing campaigns, utilizing market insights and competitor analysis to position products competitively.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, while working collaboratively across global departments to meet overall business objectives.
